TV/Telematics Platform
The TV/Telematics platform is a component of the MediaBilling system, developed for management and rating any one-time or recurrent services, provided by operators to their customers. The services are realized in the system with the mechanism of so called “service functions”, created and configured by a service provider via the system administrative interface. The most common example is a TV service, offered as free or paid "packets" of TV channels and usually based on a conditional access systems (CAS). The most popular CASes are supported by the platform. The module can also be used coupled with MBView IPTV Middleware for rating IPTV services, if the middleware provides an appropriate API interface.
The platform is extremely resource-saving, easily configurable and provides the possibility to offer various payment options to customers: one-time fixed payment for non-recurrent services and monthly or daily payment for recurrent ones.
