The diversity of technologies in the sphere of broadband access services poses a big challenge for providers of billing solutions: offered products must satisfy various technical, operational and business needs and be fully integrable with complex hardware and software systems.
The MediaBilling 2.0 solution for broadband access services is represented with the Internet platform – an independent suit of software components, specifically developed for accomplishing rating, charging, billing and invoicing tasks in BBA services irrespectively of vendor specific characteristics of the technical base, methods of primary data collection and mechanisms of subscribers access control. The platform is fully integrable with manifold hardwares, which are widely applied by ISPs nowadays: Cisco Systems routers/gateways, HP 3rd level switchboards, Linux/FreeBSD based routers, wireless hotspots, WiMax stations, RADIUS-VPN compatible hubs, 802.1х and SNMP operated switchboards and many more.
The standard Internet platform package includes Ethernet, NetFlow, SFlow and Radius VPN modules and run under Linux, FreeBSD or Windows control. The default functionality of the Internet platform package is optionally extended with supplementary modules MBHotel, MBInventory and MBView, which allows to adjust the platform to unique business requirements and provides scalable, flexible and highly efficient solution for performance of the billing tasks.
